Hi, I made a mistake yesterday and accidentally created 85 000 data entry
Does anyone have a quick way to delete such a large amount of entries?

Thanks a lot! Yeah, the bulk operation seems the most effective way indeed. Would you happen to know how I can set it up properly so i do not run into a similar issue. The whole Data types can be deleted… / reset it is not important data

If you don’t need to retain any of the data type’s records nor the data type itself, then simply deleting the data type outright is surely the most efficient and straightforward.

I’m currently deleting the entries manually in batches from the app data. It’s time-consuming, but it doesn’t seem to be costing me anything—unless I’m mistaken?

Any method certainly costs workload units.

If you define a view that includes the records you want to delete, you can then delete the view’s records all at once.

I believe you and i am expecting a surprise somewhere i assume … i have been deleting entries for the last h from my app data directly and i do not see a spike.

Confirm you’re viewing WU metrics for the same version (i.e., test or live) where you’re deleting the data.

Also, I don’t know whether the WU graphs reflect activity performed directly in the database editor, although the account’s total workload units presumably do.

Where can i find the activity performed directly in the database? To me it sounds like there is no impact on cost when i delete entries directly from the database… but that’s what i can’t figure out

I don’t know anything besides what’s in the manual, which references some actions in the database editor, but doesn’t explicitly mention manual deletions.

Create a backend workflow with an object with the same type as your data. Make the first action “delete” the object.

Go to your data tab & click “bulk” button.

It’ll allow you to run all records on that flow and delete them all.

GO to the data tab and click “copy and restore data base”

Then enter the date you want to restore to. This will restore the DB back to that time (all data)
