Another update! We just shipped two more improvements as part of the API Connector overhaul.
Version control upgrades
API Connector changes now live in their own changelog category, separate from plugins, and are filterable by collection. We also cleaned up how merge conflicts are handled for reordered calls and collections, so version control should feel a lot more predictable if you’re collaborating or managing multiple versions of your app.
Expression dropdown organization
API calls now appear in their own “API Types” group in data source and type dropdowns, clearly separated from plugin types. If you’ve ever had to hunt through a long dropdown to find the right API call, this should make that a lot faster.
What’s next
We also wanted to share a quick peek at what we’re working on next.
- We’re actively working on enabling the API Connector to parse nested JSON responses, which should make it easier to work with responses from LLM API calls.
- We’re also exploring ways to make setting up API calls more approachable for less technical users, and to make working with JSON objects easier across Bubble more broadly.
Thanks for following along - please feel free to continue sharing your thoughts in this thread or on our Ideaboard!
