An rich text element containing variables

You can accomplish this by using the :find & replace operator to do this, not necessarily a rich text element/editor.

For example, if you wanted {{First Name}} to be the user’s first name, {{First Name}} can be in the find, and then the data corresponding to that person’s first name can be the replace.

How can i accomplish that… right now when they create the template it get saved as a text field in the database with the variables inserted…

Then when i go to current rows order f.ex.
I get navigated to current page order where i can send the order confirmation and will get presented by the created template… but then i want the variables in the template to get replaced with data from current page order… how do i do that excatly ?

If you wanted let’s say {{Order ID}} to be a merge field, then you would replace {{Order ID}} in the template with whatever reference to the order ID.

So in your case, it sounds like Current Page Order ID

here i have created my template for an orderconfirmation in a rich text element from the users accountpage

and her im at the page to view the order details for an order… now i want to send an orderconfirmation the the customer by using my created template maybe add a few changes to it in the rich text element…

the variables here is still displayed as variables… so how would i be able to get it to display data fra current page order?

do you how “find and replace” works out with list of things

f.ex. i have a order list of services or products that should be displayed in the orderconfirmation so the reciever know what they have bought…

as you see in the part saying “ordren omfatter følgende:”
meaning order contains as follow:

when there are more than one entry in that list it just shows as entry1, entry2, entry3 instead of

entry1
entry2
entry3

is there anyway i can change that with using “find and replace” operator

i dont know if this i wrong to do… but in the variable i have i want it to show 2 type of fields… name and subtotal

so in the “find and replace” i use the variable “quote_list” and want it to be replaced with an expresion looking like this
"
current page order's quote's quotelist's name:formatted as text current page order's quote's quotelist's subtotal:formatted as text
"

but then i get the result you see above where subtotal doesnt allign with the name element…
do you know how i can sort that out?

I’ll create an example app for you when i’m back on my computer.

But the data source of the find and replace should be the QUOTE LIST. Then that should be formatted as text where every items content is The quotes name - The quotes subtotal.
