✈️ Any digital nomad bubblers out there?

Hey everyone!

I’ve been working through my plans for 2023 and I’m considering taking the bold step of packing up my life here in Sydney, Australia, and hitting the road as a digital nomad.

I currently run a fully remote agency, Support Dept, so I really can work from anywhere with a decent internet connection.

Looking to connect with any others that have been or are doing the digital nomad thing. Would love to hear about your experience.

Good luck @josh24! I’m also taking a year away from the normal day job to focus on my own Bubble projects. Not much travel planned for me yet but it’s still exciting - I’m interested to find out how you find the digital nomad lifestyle.

I’ve been doing it off and on for years now, DM me if you have any questions :metal:

Yes!!! I was in Mexico for 6 months recently. It was so much fun! Gonna hit the road again after the next Bubble meetup in LA.

Where do you plan on going?

I am interested to attend. When-Where is the next meet up in LA ?

Probably in mid March and the location is to be determined. Event details will be sent through Bubble’s email, but I will post updates in my Facebook group and discord server as well!

I’ve been thinking about doing this too!

At the very least doing it in school holidays - the only thing is I essentially have 3 screens and I’m not sure I can give them up and just work off a laptop

This is what I dream of :slightly_smiling_face: a nomad life.

I was thinking to do start in Asia (perhaps Bangkok to being) while it’s still winter in most places, and then head to Europe in the summer.

It’s tough when you get so used to the comfort of a setup

I’ve started using multiple desktops on the Mac in preparation and just swiping between them. But of course having my iPad close by to use as a second screen also helps any time I’m out of the office… Not the same as having a nice big screen but it’s not horrible once you get used to it.

I started on my nomadic journey in September of last year and have since visited four countries in Europe. Currently, I’m exploring Asia and it has been an incredibly enriching experience so far.

I packed a computer monitor into my luggage for my travels and I was using it in Mexico for a few weeks until stuff in my luggage cracked it. The LCD was obliterated. Guess there’s a reason they call it a “laptop lifestyle” lol
