API's and end points

This may or may not be bubble related

I am using the API connector, and contacted my provider to see if they had an API for a particular feature. They came back and said “we have endpoints”, however the example they sent is formatted similar to their API syntax.

So the question is what is the difference between API’s and End Points

API (application program interface) refers to the whole set of protocols that allows communication between two systems. While an endpoint is a URL that enables the API to gain access to resources on a server.
