Heads-up about deleting folders in the new app/page manager
After spending quite a bit of time organising my app into folders using the new app/page manager, I found myself increasingly just using the search box to quickly jump to the page I needed. In the end, the folders didn’t really add much value for me (in hindsight, labels would’ve been a better choice).
So, I decided to delete the folders so the pages returned to being uncategoried. All good… or so I thought.
What I didn’t expect was that doing this would trigger hundreds of errors across my app. Every page that had previously been assigned to a folder now needed its ‘folder’ field updated manually in the inspector panel. I had to go through every single one and fix them by hand. DOH!!
Just putting this out there as a heads-up in case it saves someone else from going through the same thing. Hopefully this gets addressed in a future update (although when i reported it they told me it was expected behavour - which I argued against, and I think they understood in the end)
