In app search we can search by option set use, and select either ‘all options’ or a specific option from the set, but we can not search for something like ‘any’ or just ‘the set’…the ‘all options’ is specific to when the option set is used as all options and not the same as ‘any option’.
When searching it would be nice to see any reference the the option as a option set and not a use of all options or one specific option. Reason this is essential is that the issue checker doesn’t show when an option set is referenced but no option is selected when copying from one app to another since the dynamic expression is blue as it picks up the true option set but not the individual option choice.
The issue shows blue dynamic expressions as something like ‘current user role is this option’ which doesn’t shown in the issue checker and does in fact cause issues with feature functionality as no option is selected.
I want to raise another quick-win for the extension of the search, namely the ability to search for specific App Text if your application supports multiple languages.
Sometimes, you use App Texts on different places across the app and in case an App Text is changed, you just want to make sure that the translated texts still fit for every place.
On the subject, a universal “find & replace” function would be amazing. Less important with global expressions for new builds but still very useful for everything built up to this point.
