Hi everyone, hope you’re well. I’m currently working on adapting Collab to an artist management app for a friend’s company. I’ve added new views for viewing individual artist data and the popups to go with it.

Currently struggling with making the functionality for Team members to add artists and assign deals (read: projects) to them. Artists are a data type by themselves because they hold artist information. I’ve populated the deal popup with a dropdown that dynamically shows all the artist names and added that to be saved in the workflow of the save button.

Is there a way to assign deals to artists such that they’re saved in the artist data type? I’m working towards the functionality where when the user clicks the artist view, they can see the names of the deals that are assigned to them. Currently not able to figure out how to add deals to artists.

Attached screenshots of the fields in each data type and of the popup design.

Thank you!

you could add deals to artists but that list could get quite long? (maybe hundreds over time?)

if it will stay short then you just need to add a list field to the artist and then add items to that list (and remove them as needed)

alternatively you can add artist to the deal and then do a search for deals where artist is this pages/popups artist

each has pros and cons

Thanks @mitchbaylis - I’m going with adding artists to deals since each artist will have hundreds of deals and inquiries over the span of their career. How would you suggest I assign artists to deals? My current functionality is the dropdown in the deal creation popup but it doesn’t populate the artist data type with deals. The deals do get a parameter that link them (screenshot attached) but I can’t get the deal count to function. (screenshot attached)
