Regarding your suggestion for simultaneous recording and uploading, our developer has thoroughly evaluated the code and functionalities. Unfortunately, due to the way the plugin is currently structured, it only supports downloading the recording to the device or uploading it to Bubble once the recording has stopped.

@ZeroqodeSupport - We upgraded my plugin from 1.70.0 to 1.75.0 to use the “Audio Source” (not working in 1.70.0) and noticed that the mp3 file size increased by 2.5X. Can you please confirm if it is expected?
Is it expected to be 2.5X in future versions? For context, our users record up to 11 minutes of audio, and file size increased from 10 MB to 25 MB, which takes a lot of time to upload and causes a bad user experience.
We are aware of the behavior because in version 1.75.0, some changes were made to the WAV and MP3 recorder files to address pops that were occurring. While this improved the quality, it also increased the file size.
Could you please test version 1.74.0, where the fix for the Audio Source was introduced, and confirm whether the audio file size returns to normal or remains increased?
Feel free to use version 1.74.0 where the Audio Source was fixed if this update fits your usecase the best!

Currently, the plugin lacks the functionality to rename audio files. We’ll check with the developers to see if they have the time and resources to add this feature now or if we should add it to the list of future plugin improvements!

We wanted to inform you that a new update of the Audio Recorder Plugin has been released - version 1.78.0. This version introduces a new field in the plugin element for the recording filename!
Starting with this version, you can now add dynamic expressions or static text to the field for a new name for the file.
Please update the plugin in your plugin settings and take a look at the new changes. We would greatly appreciate your feedback as soon as you have a moment
Getting this error when clicking the start / stop button… no idea from the error message itself what this could be. The plugin/button used to work, but came to this sudden hault with the arrival of this error… has anyone seen this? @ZeroqodeSupport please chime in.
The microphone permissions were granted, i tried on various browsers (incognito as well), and this worked consistently previously.

We’ve just released a new update for the Audio Recorder plugin - version 1.252.0 - bringing you more control over file sizes during recording. This is especially useful when working with Bubble’s file upload limits!
What’s New:
Enable file size limit — new option to stop recording automatically when a specified file size limit is reached.
Set this to match your Bubble “Max File Size” field to avoid exceeding upload limits.
New plugin states:
current recording size — shows the current size of the audio recording in bytes
recording size percent — shows how much of the allowed size limit has been used (as a percentage)
This update helps prevent large recordings from being saved when they exceed your app’s file constraints — improving both performance and user experience.
