Back After 4 Years: What Did I Miss?

Back in the day I was deep in development on this platform and built a product, authored a few popular plugins, and was an active contributor in this forum. I stepped away in 2022 for personal reasons and haven’t revisited since. What are the most important platform changes or “must-know” updates from 2022 to now?

Obviously a watershed change in computing has occurred with AI  I’m curious how has bubble and the community have responded to that change? I see LLMs are part of the builder now, which is cool, but not unexpected. I’m curious what things are looking like with a radically different development landscape out there – especially with rapid ai-assisted development (vibe-coding) etc.

I’m also looking to build something useful and wondering if anyone has some suggestions

Welcome back! A lot has changed (native mobile app builder, AI-powered page generation, AI agent in the editor), but the spirit remains the same!

Glad to have you back.

@emmanuel Still lurking in the forms! Amazing. AI-powered page generation looks great!

Biggest 3 changes are Buildprint, reus props and returning custom evnts

Glad to have you back @jon2, seems like you’re one of the OG’s in Bubble:)

On the whole, it’s generally a bit faster (database searches) and more reliable in terms of platform stability. Not perfect but definitely in right direction :+1:t2:

On the less positive side, the customer support has declined. When I first joined bubble it was the great customer support that got me through the initial teething stages & made me feel valued and cared for. Then they brought in automated AI agents and inexperienced staff (it felt) and the whole support experience got a bit frustrating & disappointing. I’ve not contacted them for over a year now I think , so maybe it’s improved.

We mostly live in Beta now.
