Hi, evaluating Bubble to replace an app built in alpha software. i need to send reminders to our clients 90, 120 and 180 days before a date defined in a data thing. Date Field.
i can see backend workflows and i can see ‘currentdate’ +(days):
is it possible to have -(days): or is there another way to achieve this. I guess this is a standard requirement to remind users of events etc.

Yes. You can do it like this Current Date(+ days): -90.
Instead of current date, just choose your date from the database.

and am i right in thinking, this will run without any user intervention? or do i need to add a ‘do every 5 seconds’?

To make it simpler you can just schedule the backend workflow to run on those days instead. No need to check every five seconds or anything. Just schedule it to run on those specific dates. Then you will see it in your scheduler to run in the future.
It really depends on your project if this would be a good fit. It’s hard to know with limited details as to what you are sending and why.
