Background source is not dynamic

When going from one page to the other (/page/name1 → /page/name2), if it’s inside the same Bubble Page (but different data), the background image is not properly bounded.

When using a “link” element, it reloads the page (very costly, but works). When using a workflow, if only loads the proper data and modifies the current elements (cheap but seems to have one bug, explained below).

It works fine with image and with a group’s background-image.

It fails with the page’s background-image. So, bye bye parallax.

It’s the same if you modify the image (say, with auto-binding or workflow). It’ll change all elements that use that source, except… the background-image. It’s totally unbounded.

Has anyone observed this bug before? Can you reproduce it? Am I missing something else?

You can see that here:

Hey

This bug has been fixed. :white_check_mark:

Email extract:

thank you for submitting this. It appears that this issue was a limitation with the underlying library for applying the scrolling “parallax” effect.

We were able to mitigate that issue, so now everything should work as expected.

Thank you for your patience,
