I’m building a property rental marketplace (focused in Israel, some US users) and need to handle photo/video uploads. I’m concerned about Bubble’s 50 GB storage limit and want to optimize file management.
Should I stick with Bubble’s native database for now? If so:
What plugins are useful for file uploading or storage optimization in general?
What techniques (e.g., compression, lazy loading) work well for managing uploads and performance?
If there’s a better alternative within Bubble or externally, what’s the best option for a newbie, and how can I set it up simply (no coding if possible)?
50GB is not totally a limit because you can increase it.
However, this will cost you probably more than using your own solution like AWS for example. There’s plugins that already exist you can have a look and most of them come with documentation to how to setup your own storage. Search plugins marketplace and look their documentation.
I use this, it handles image compression well without compromising on the quality too much, file sizes are considerably smaller too which makes images load faster when needed again. There are plenty of free uploaders though which you can try, but personally this works well for me.
