Best way to get outter RG Cell #

Hi all,

I have 3x RGs, 2 are nested:

RG #1 Services
RG #2 Service Task Groups
RG #3 Service Line Items

When I’m in the RG #2 Service Task Groups, I want to know what Cell # of RG Services I’m in.

When I’m in the RG #3 Service Line Items, I want to know what Cell # of RG Service Task Groups I’m in.

I’m aware of the Orchestra plugin, but this only seems to work if the user triggers an action?

Look, I’m not sure if this is the best way to do it, but I tested it here and it works:

You can create a group with the data type “number” inside the RG #1 Services cell (e.g., “rg service number”). Set the group’s data source to the current cell’s index. Then, inside your RG #2 Service Task Groups, you can reference the group “rg service number: number,” and it will return the cell number from RG #1 Service. Do the same from RG #2 to RG #3.

I think this will work for what you need.
