As you are all aware, there are some shortcomings with the existing date/time picker.
On monday, we will release an updated date/time picker that will replace the current element to provide full styling control of the element in runmode. This means that any instance of this element on an existing view will be updated with the new element. It shouldn’t change much, but you should audit your apps if you use this element before pushing a new build/OTA update.
Note: Runmode behavior for existing builds will not be impacted. Changes will only be visible to users after a new build/ota.
Note: Part of this release will also be a new operator change time to which should make it far easier to combine a Date & Time value into a datetime object in the database. More details to come when the element is launched
Heads up, the new datetime picker just went out but there is a runmode bug that we are fixing right now that is causing some odd behavior. Will update this thread with more details once fully ready!
Datetime picker is now live! Here is a quick demo of the feature, as well as a new datetime operator change time to which allows you to more easily combine two datetime objects with the date and time picker values!
Note: You’ll need to be on the latest version of BubbleGo (1.6) for this to work properly in runmode testing.
Gotcha, basically the built in fuzzy search? For this use case, you should be able to build this with a text input and use the contains operator when sorting your vertical list data in the mean time?
Is it possible to update the Date Picker for Web as well? The current one is not responsive and is often not displayed correctly or is sometimes not visible on different display sizes.
Yes, we will eventually replace the datetime picker to be more inline with the mobile element. Since it is a breaking change, the rollout will need to be a little different - either as a new element or bubble version.
