I will keep this short, I have been pushing for more advanced Bubble native solutions groupfocus, list operations, sliders, time pickers, map, reusables search and many more, never got attraction from Bubble team.
Without native futures of Bubble, Bubble AI is unfortunately a nothing burger. Unless the AI ( which are called MCP I think) for instance figures out that native datepicker is useless and goes to plugin marketplace buys the airdate time picker, implements.
Just asked it to give me a calendar functionality single page, booking functionality, nothing else and it gave me 26 blank boxes, 1 month calendar
I think AI for Bubble gets your baseline app complete at maybe 25-50% depending on the number of technical features required. After that, you’ll still need to know how to implement on your own the more technical features.
But, the foundation bubble is setting with the AI builder is one that the community will build new products and services on top of.
If you want that single page booking feature just integrate my free template scheduleMe into your existing app. Has absolutely everything needed for a real booking app, is completely timezone and daylight savings aware. Only needs the paid subscription only plugin to work. Best way to get that robust scheduling functionality required, no up front costs and a low monthly payment.
Currently I have booking functionality, only downside is 220ms load time in addition, due to plugin
That’s because a booking functionality with available timeslots requires JavaScript.
If your seeing 220ms to load the plugin itself, that likely is due to external libraries getting loaded, and would not add to loading as I think all elements would begin loading at same time, but some take longer so finish loading later.
But if you are seeing 220ms to complete an action with the plugin, you may want to switch plugins.
If bubble were to introduce these types of features, it will need to be coding them, or they need to build their own plugins. I think neither of which need to or should happen.
So Bubble AI shouldn’t be useful ?
Bubble AI should not introduce a dependency on custom code in an app…maybe ai will build plugins and then install that new plugin.
Also bubble can ease up on capital expenditure while others build on top of the foundation already set.
