Bubble Developer Certificate worth it?

For people who have passed the certification process, did you find having it was worth while (time and cost) in getting freelance jobs?

I donā€™t think thatā€™s a benchmark for getting clients.
Majority of clients donā€™t care about that

I think the answer is very clearly yes. There are many developers proclaiming they are ā€œthe top best Bubble developerā€, measuring themselves in a very subjective way.

Without a portfolio of prior projects and certification it will be very hard to differentiate yourself. The exam is not ā€œsuper easy any one can do itā€ - it is some credible proof that you actually have a clue.

Thanks. Iā€™m presuming you do freelance work(?).

If so, do you find most of your work on the forum or elsewhere?

I built my reputation building plugins, and then I built planbbackups.io. So I have worked hard to get a good reputation - reputation is everything!

If you hang around in the forum and say smart helpful stuff - people will notice you. As @georgecollier says - there are Bubble devs with 6 months experience who ā€˜get itā€™ more than folks who have been building crappy apps for years.

Find a category of Bubble apps that interests you, and where you have some domain expertise in already, and any time anything pops up on the forum, X etc etc etc - get involved. Showing you are interested and have a clue is a big differentiator.

But what do I know ā€¦

Depends on where you are at. Itā€™s a good plus to have if youā€™re new or donā€™t have a solid portfolio of live apps built with Bubble.

I donā€™t have the certification but Iā€™ve built a reputation within my networks and my sector as the go to guy for web apps and digital solutions. I conduct workshops and seminars about digitalization of work processes and I have 2 well used live Bubble apps.

Iā€™m focused on building my rep locally, not for global clients. So the Bubble cert has no value to me or the clients Iā€™m interested in working with. Again it really depends on where you are at.

My clients heard about bubble first time withā€¦ me. So they really don t care about certification.

When reading the jobs section of the forum, I never saw someone asking for the certification.

However, in the RFP, the certification is highlighted.

I think it is cool to pass the exam to challenge yourself and be proud of you.

I felt like back in school again

If you have an agency plan - what I strongly recommend if you want to freelance - you got 2 free attemps thanks to @theo.goldberg work.

Note : very frustrating to not know what were the questions you failed  still asking myself where I m wrong and what I truly believe but is not true  it is 4am here and it keeps me awake
