Hi Everyone,

I’m the founder of Indiehost, a booking platform for independent short-term rental hosts in East Africa. It’s a live Bubble app, and we’re now onboarding our first hosts in Kenya. I’ve built it myself so far and I’m looking for a developer to eventually take over most of the build so I can spend more time growing the business.

What I’m looking for:

- 3+ years Bubble experience: backend workflows, privacy rules, API connector. Marketplace or booking app experience is a plus.
- A coding background beyond Bubble (JavaScript, SQL, REST APIs). We plan to move some backend pieces to Postgres/Supabase over time.
- Clear written communication; most of our work will be async.
- About 10 hrs/week to start, with an increasing commitment over time.
- Budget: $20–25/hr. We’re an early-stage startup, with room to grow hours and rate as we scale.
- Time zone: within a few hours of East Africa (UTC+3).

If interested, please reach out via ‘indiehost.co.ke/contact’ with answers to the questions below.

1. Your hourly rate and weekly availability
2. A Bubble app you’ve built, ideally a marketplace or booking app (editor access or a short Loom walkthrough).
3. Your experience outside Bubble
4. Your location
5. When you’re available to start and how much time you have available each week.

Thanks,
Daniel

Hi Daniel, this sounds like an interesting opportunity. I have experience building Bubble applications, marketplace functionality, backend workflows, database structures, third-party integrations, and payment systems. I would love to learn more about Indiehost and explore how I could contribute. I will also reach out through your website. Looking forward to connecting!
