Job Description

Bubble Developer

Bubble’s mission is to enable anybody to create software, even if they don’t know how to code. We feel that with how vital technology is, its creation can’t be restricted to a small number of people with CS degrees or coding backgrounds. Today, we have an industry-leading no-code tool that helps users build VC-backed startups, personal projects, internal company tools and more.

This role is an exciting opportunity to help build the product itself. We’re looking for candidates who are expert Bubble users already, who are interested in not just using the product to build web apps for others, but to work on growing and improving the product itself. You would have a unique opportunity to help shape the future of the product and the company, helping out all the other Bubble Developers out there!

Our main web app (bubble.io) is built on Bubble, encompassing everything from education to the marketplace, impacting many of the company’s facets. We are looking for a Bubble Developer to join a small but nimble pod to help build, maintain and improve the Bubble app that we’ve created. This person will be executing on a lot of projects that are core to our product experience and which all of our users see!

The core skill we are seeking in candidates is full-stack Bubble development skills. Given the very user-facing nature of the work, a design background (especially Product Design) or a strong interest in design is a big plus.

In particular, as a Bubble Developer, you would:

  • Work as part of our broader Product org to tackle strategically-important projects
  • Collaborate closely with a PM, Designer, and another Bubble Developer
  • Collaborate with other teams, such as Marketing, Sales and Success, on their initiatives that require changes to our main web app or internal tools
  • Continuously improve our internal processes and design system
  • Help maintain strong design quality in our main web app
  • Address user-reported bugs pertaining to our main web app
  • Provide a valuable perspective as a power Bubble user to the wider Product org

We’re looking for someone who:

  • Has had at least 2 years of heavy Bubble development experience
  • Has experience building Bubble projects that are being used by end-users
  • Has experience building Bubble apps of heavy logical complexity and that use third party integrations
  • Ideally, has a Product Design background or a heavy interest in Product Design
  • Has a portfolio of past Bubble projects to demonstrate their abilities
  • Has strong attention to detail with both design and with workflow logic
  • Is very organized when building complex sites/web apps
  • Is passionate about user experience and empowering users to build no-code applications

We are based in New York City but are also working to build out a remote team across the U.S. If you’re open to moving to NYC one day, great, but don’t hesitate to apply if that’s not on your horizon. We’d love to chat either way! Note: at this time, we are only considering candidates who are authorized to work in the US.

We’re looking forward to hearing from you!
