I am not 100% sure this is related, but I just got an email from Bubble after this post was considered resolved saying “we have had to temporarily block deletions in your app again due to further infrastructure problems it was causing”
This was after an earlier email I got from Bubble that said “We are not focusing on resolving this yet because there are workarounds (outlined below) and we have more urgent tickets on our docket.” Unfortunately this email was responding to the support ticket that I submitted that was an issue where I can’t even delete 50 records without getting the below error. This was just from the editor data tab selecting the first 50 records showing from the view I had and trying to delete them. I have also tried to use a bulk workflow to delete one by one and that also ends up timing out.
So in response to my issue about deleting, they send me that email with “workarounds” but the workarounds and the context of their solution was all about the limitations Bubble has with Searching heavy data types. But my issue is NOT with searching, but simply trying to delete records.
I only seem to have this issue with one data type that is just over 1 Million records total and does have quite a number of fields, but the task is ONLY to delete them. Not sure what is going on with this one data type that deleting is causing these errors and possibly causing instability within the cluster?
I don’t know what their process is on the backend to actually delete records, but need some help resolving this.
I am also concerned that they can remove my ability to delete records, which is a very core function. They also have previously restricted my ability to run Bulk actions as they thought that was causing instability in their cluster as well.
It is a bit concerning to rely on Bubble and have live customers/users when certain core functionality can be immediately stopped by them without any consent or collaboration.
