Bubble mobile - Map with custom style

Hey :slight_smile: I’m building a mobile app via the Bubble native app builder and I’m using the native map element.

Could you please add two features to the map element for Bubble mobile?

  1. Allow to use custom map style
  2. Allow to set the size of the custom markers

Or is there a plugin that can do this for mobile? I need a map element that has the following functions:

  1. Show user live location
  2. Use custom marker list
  3. Set display size of customer markers
  4. Allow to disable all the standard google maps markers on the map (stores, train-stations, etc.)

At the moment, there isn’t a native Bubble plugin that supports all of the features you mentioned out-of-the-box. However, we would recommend checking out our Mapbox Maps for Bubble (Mobile) plugin it’s a great alternative for mobile apps and might be exactly what you’re looking for.

Also, if you’d like to try it out in your own app, you can subscribe to the plugin just for one day Bubble will only charge you for the days used. The cost is prorated, so you won’t need to pay the full monthly fee if you only test it briefly.

But from what I can see you mapbox plugin for mobile doesn’t allow to choose a list of custom markers, right? And even for single markers you cannot choose a custom image to use as an marker but only a custom color, right? And can you change the size of it?

Also is there an option to display the users live location?

You’re right, the plugin doesn’t currently have all the features you’re asking for, like custom marker images or a list of markers. However, you can increase the Scale value of the marker to adjust its size.
