[Bug] SelectPDF plugin broken - plst237.com ERR_NAME_NOT_RESOLVED

Our PDF generation with Selectpdf has been broken since yesterday morning (May 25, 2026) with no changes made on our end. The feature had been working perfectly for over 2 years.

Symptoms:

  • Workflow runs for exactly 2 minutes then returns: “Désolé, nous avons actuellement un bug temporaire”
  • Occasionally works (intermittent)
  • No quota issue — SelectPDF API key is active, credits available

Root cause found in browser console:

POST https://plst237.com/api/1.1/wf/plst net::ERR_NAME_NOT_RESOLVED

The domain plst237.com is the backend endpoint used by the official SelectPDF plugin and it appears to be unstable / no longer resolving consistently.

Setup:

  • Official Bubble SelectPDF plugin (by Bubble)
  • Internal page as URL type
  • App running on a custom domain

Is anyone else experiencing this? Particularly curious if you’re also hitting plst237.com or a different plst***.com domain.

This is likely unrelated, plst237 is a tracker by @ZeroqodeSupport for a Zeroqode plugin and whatever AI you’re using is incorrect about the root cause

If you share your setup workflows and details about the issue then we can help suggest the cause?

Thanks for the reply ! I use the official Bubble SelectPDF plugin to generate business documents (invoices, quotes, etc.) in my ERP app. It has been working perfectly for several years and suddenly stopped working yesterday with no changes made on my end.

When I click the download button, it loads for about 2 minutes then returns the generic Bubble error: “Désolé, nous avons actuellement un bug temporaire”.

Things I already checked:

  • SelectPDF API key is active and below the monthly quota

  • Tested the SelectPDF API directly in the browser with a public URL → works fine, PDF is generated

  • The issue is intermittent — it works occasionally

My setup: SelectPDF plugin, URL type = Internal page

We’re experiencing the exact same issue in our app. It looks like PDFs are being selected for generation unexpectedly, and it also started on May 25th, but more in the afternoon. We’ve opened a ticket and are waiting for it to be resolved.

We seem to be having the same issue sporadically as well.

Just wanted to mention DocuPotion as an option for anyone looking for a SelectPDF alternative.

I know there are tens (or maybe hundreds?) of PDF plugins out there, but DocuPotion works pretty similarly to SelectPDF:

  • you create a template of your PDF in a page of your Bubble app
  • you then generate a PDF of that page

So a SelectPDF → DocuPotion migration is pretty easy.

DocuPotion also comes with more advanced page break functionality, header/footer formatting and other good stuff.

If anyone wants a hand in migrating from SelectPDF → DocuPotion, feel free to book a free 30-min call with me here.

Alex

PS - I wrote this article comparing SelectPDF to DocuPotion a while back. Yes, it is biased in favour of DocuPotion, but I do think it still gives a fair overview of some of the main differences.

A PDF creator option without external dependencies, only its application within Bubble, would be:

PDF Builder — Visual Editor
