You have to understand something: they have a complex full-stack system that has been running for over 10 years, with thousands of businesses relying on it. Implementing something AI-driven in such complex projects takes time.
Take Google as an example - it took them time to catch up, and even now, they’re still behind. It’s very likely they will always lag behind OpenAI. If you had to bet on who would achieve AGI first, most people would put their money on OpenAI.
It’s not easy for any organization, regardless of size, to support an existing system, manage users, and ship new features. (I know Bubble hasn’t released much, but they mentioned revamping their entire structure for better performance.) Also, some events happened (the Silicon Valley Bank drama), so there was a lot going on within the company.
So yes, even though they introduced AI features late, it reassures me because they didn’t just add AI fluff for the sake of saying they’re AI-enabled. And for me, that’s far more valuable than BOLT!
