Calculate time interval

Not sure if I understand. You can surely add a number only to a number field. That would be natural expectation anyway?

Yeah, but it only offers me the choice for ‘=’, per below:

To Do Duration is a number field type.

Ah, I get what you mean.

You have to do To Do Duration = This Task's To Do Duration + new duration kind of thing.

Ah, this is all quite confusing.

So, since To Do Duration doesn’t have an already existing value, I’d need to create another data field I think?

Does this look right?

Capture 1st sequence (To Do > X state):

  • To Do End (date) = Current date/time
  • To Do Duration (date range) = Current date/time - Creation date

Capture 2nd sequence (X state > To Do):

  • To Do start (date) = Current date/time

Capture 3rd sequence (To Do > X state):

  • To Do End (date) = Current date/time
  • To Do Duration (date range) = Current date/time - To Do start

Since the 3rd sequence is the same as the 1st, I can omit the first expression, but how do I incorporate “To Do Duration (date range) = Current date/time - To Do start” into the 1st sequences “To Do Duration (date range) = Current date/time - Creation date”?

I suggest we resolve it over a call. Do you mind sending me a DM so that we can coordinate the call?
