Hello bubble community. I am looking to create a calendar sync between the events I have in bubble and the user’s preferred calendar. I have sorted out how to do a one time push, but I have not been able to figure out how to create a live calendar sync so that as events are updated or cancelled in bubble, the updates are reflected in the user’s calendar app.
I’m willing to pay for help delivering a solution, and I expect others in the community would be willing to pay you for a plugin if you made it available via the marketplace too
You don’t really see a plugin for this because there are a lot of calendars out there. Which one are you trying to sync with? Google, Outlook, another one?
I did this before and it takes a lot of work to set up properly.
If you’ve already done what you say, next step is to keep the google account access live, even when calendar owner is not on app. I’ve been doing that for clients since 2020. No delay between syncs. Uses refresh token from Google.
Microsoft decided to make things more difficult and costly now, as developers need to pay a yearly fee to access APIs, which is a change in past couple of years.
other than Google or Microsoft, what other calendar types do you need to sync?
I work with Bubble and have helped clients build reliable integrations with external calendars.
This kind of setup takes a bit of planning around auth and webhooks, but it is doable.
