Can someone explain to me what a splash screen is and how to use it?

Hi guys,

Can someone explain to me please what’s the purpose of splash screen and what it should be?

I’ve set a picture as a splash screen and then it refreshes 2-3 times (like a flicker) which is not a great experiences. SUggestions?

I think it’s a loading screen basically…entertainment while data loads, like Netflix does with Redbackground, the N logo and sound. Usually some animation plus sound maybe. Could also include quotes, or factoids or something.

A splash screen is basically what the user sees while the app is starting up. I’d keep it simple with a static image or logo.

For the flickering, check if the image or page is being loaded more than once. Data or elements loading immediately after startup can also cause that effect. A lightweight splash usually helps.
