I’ve tried to raise this question on the ideaboard before, but it seems that most developers no longer look into that ideaboard.
Is this really just a local demand? I would happily pay for essential plugins to a client’s app, and if ever necessary, ask for a refund from them directly later.
I get quite annoyed having to discuss and point out each $5 plugin I want to add to the app instead of developing/separating calls to MVP apps, to which most conversations in this topic cost way more than all the plugins we would purchase combined.
*I’m specifically interested in the lifetime Buy option. Not the subscription, to which I understand it could become an issue.
If you build the app as an Agency on the agency plan, you can do this. I can see how this could be helpful if they already have an app but I also see the issues this could create.
Let’s say you add a plugin, pay for it, then leave the app as a collaborator. How will they handle that?
Or let’s say, they charge the admin user when you purchase a plugin. What if they don’t want it and then they have a charge on their card for it.
I believe on the Agency plan, it doesn’t cost anything until it is transferred to the client. At that time, they should be already aware of how much things will cost for them to take over the app and start paying for it.
