Changing the font weight from 400 to 300 does not update in the editor for text elements linked to that style.
The same issue occurs with font colors.
Font padding changes are also not reflected.
Alignment adjustments do not display correctly either.
etc
It appears that when a new style is initially created, the values are correctly linked with the style in the editor. However, after updates are made to the global style, the editor does not reflect these changes. Instead, it retains the original style values as they were initially set.
This issue may not be limited to text elements and could potentially affect other elements as well. Has anyone else encountered this problem or been able to replicate it?
Are you still seeing this? Seems to work as expected for me in Chrome.
I’m not entirely sure what you mean by “global” styles though. AFAIK, there are only “styles” and “style variables”. If I change either, then the appearance of elements on the Design tab updates accordingly, although it takes a second or so for the editor to reflect the changes.
I’ve encountered this issue intermittently over the past week. However, based on the responses so far, I’m attributing it to latency for now.
When I mentioned “global styles,” I was referring to the difference between the styles tab and the individual element styles within the editor view, which aren’t necessarily linked to a reusable style in the UI that can be uniformly applied across multiple elements (i.e., the low-code visual equivalent of a CSS class).
The general latency/server side performance of the Bubbleapps development domain has been so severe for me on certain days that I’ve had to pause for half an hour just to allow the server to settle so I can reload the editor successfully. Other sites load at instantly in the same browser environment and my FTTC is very fast generally so I’m fairly sure it’s not that.
