Control number format

In our company, we have employee numbers that are formatted like (branch)(year of hiring)(month of hiring) and (sequence of hire)

For example, if an employee is hired in Manila, and the hiring year is 2022 (22), month is february (02), and sequence being hired is 10th (10) for the entire existence of the company for the year, so it will be: MLA22020010

  1. For the branch code, the nearest I have in my mind is to truncate, but it will only extract the first 3 letters. Example, Manila internally, is coded as MLA, but if I do truncate, then it will do MAN.
  2. Is there a way to format count from “10” to “0010” (4 digits)

This post might help.
