Count data until certain time back (month)

There is a social media like platform, having profiles and posts, in this case (on the landing page) total number of posts are displayed, i.e. Search for Posts:count.

Question: Is it possible (and how) we can search for data, until certain date, let’s say until previous month, i.e. to not show current month data?
