Set the page background as white! … But I understand that in some case you want to keep the transparency for reusable element
The only thing reasonable here is, that reusables bg should be white on editor
Yeah this is supposed to be transparent. thats the issue. Also would effect pages if there are transparent sections. It shouldn’t make the center part dark is all, or at least should let me change just that part back to the light gray
Yeah light gray is the way, light gray should be the way on regular white editor too
Yeah, just let us choose the background color to work with would be nice.

Team just updated the behavior so canvas will stay white in both light and dark mode, reflecting runtime canvas
By canvas you mean whole middle white part or reusables cover width and height?

Could we make the background color customizable, or add a toggle between white and black canvas? Some users prefer white for contrast, others prefer black for nighttime work. Personally, I liked the black background more — there’s now too much contrast between both elements and it becomes uncomfortable after a few minutes.
