Data API - does this impact capacity

I’m interested in enabling the Data API so 3rd parties can run GET request for specific data stored in our App.

I was wondering - will this impact our capacity usage? What I don’t want to do is enable GET requests via the data api and then run into capacity issues due to heavy use of the API.
