Hi all,
I cannot display data changes correctly because the formulas do not retrieve the latest figures from the database.
I have created a table that allows users to enter their revenue ambition for different segments. As you can see in first picture below, I have entered 36.000 as an ambition which is correctly displayed in the overview on the left incl. the sum below.
However, when I change the figure from let’s say 36.000 to 16.000, the figure in the overview is updated accordingly (but it takes approx. 10 sec. which I find too long), but the sum below does not make any sense. Though it is correct, when I reflesh the page.
Thus I don’t think my workflows or formulas are incorrect. It is just that the update takes too long and does not incorporate all changes.
Has anyone an idea how to fix this?
Thank you very much in advance!!

Hi, just need a little more infos to help. Can you give a description of the workflow’s action and the trigger when you enter a figure pls? And also share the formula for the sum to see what it refers to
Sure!
The trigger is a “save” button that deletes the current thing and replaces it with the new thing. That is the only workflow. All the other tables that you see are filled with dynamic data.
After the page has been refreshed, eveything is correctly display. But without a refresh, strange calculations are performed that don’t make sense.
I hope that helps. Thanks a lot!

Sorry but I can’t get to reproduce the bug from my side nor found a good reason for this bug
But still got some questions:
- Why delete and create instead of make change to the thing’s revenue? That can be a reason for the 10s delay when saving.
- Why the sum is in an input and is an integer vs a decimal 1 for the other figures?
- Is it possible that your action “Reset relevant inputs” is also reseting the dropdown’value Year?
Too bad to hear
Can you maybe tell or show me what you did differently?
To your questions:
- Because, as far as I understood Bubble, you first need to create a thing before you can change it. Since users will be able to set targets for any year they wish, I think I need to work with delete and create vs. change.
- I didn’t think that would matter. I changed it to decimal and I didn’t experience any difference
- No, it does not reset that dropdown
Here is something interesting: I did another test. The sum was 80.000 and one of the figures 35.000. I changed the figure from 35.000 to 10.000. Mathematically, the sum should now be 55.000. However, this number is only displayed for one second before it became 20.000… After refreshing the page, the correct figure (55.000) was displayed.
Any idea why that could be the case?
I found the solution! Make changes to a thing led me into the right direction
Thanks!!
