Data not saved in App Data

HI - When I input values in a Form for an element with an Integer, the data for that element does not save in App Data but defaults to the value defined in data type, which has been dfined as a integer. How can I ensure the data in Form during Preview is saved in Db?. I am ok on saving in the first page but when workflow takes me to a new page this happens.
