Default value for custom state of type "image" does not persist

  1. Create a custom state of type “image” on an element.
  2. Upload an image to use as the default.
  3. Close and then reopen the Element inspector panel.
  4. Note that the default image is gone.

This is easy to reproduce. Am I misunderstanding something? I haven’t reported it yet, but it seems like a bug.

FYI, this was reported as bug #8709 and has been confirmed and passed to the engineering team to resolve.
