Delete a log from a user

Ah, I see what you are trying to do.

But you have made the user of type “text”. It should be of type “user”.

But you don’t even need to do that because what you will see is that the user = Creator every time, as the Creator is automatically set to the logged in user by Bubble. So just use Creator.

Username and the Creator’s name a two different Types of names (Mainly for logging reasons)

Account Name > Name used in Discord (i also use discord as a second logging system via
webhooks)
Profile Name > Name Used for logging << Use this one for the “user value” and other “duty” types
and
RP Name > Used for logging RP events and such

all 3 are made during sign up

Ok, so the field “user” represents user name, not user. I see. That’s not really a best practice, but anyhow.

The RG data source
The workflow to create the on duty entry

or just share read access to your editor.

Ok, it is there now. But I don’t follow your logic at all for what you are searching for the in the RG.

firstly, there is no constraint, and then why are you looking for a first item in an RG? That will only return one record and kinda defeats the point of a list.

coz what i want it to do is make the list from the data, then when the user goes off duty remove it from the list and store the data in a different place

It is that easy, but since you haven’t done the tutorials, you’re struggling with the syntax. This is how it should look…
In the To delete, all you need to include is: Search for DutyLists:First Item
Then add a constraint “user = current user’s username”

Its sending the log to discord but not removing it from data (i can reply again coz i got promoted up a trust level! lol i was worried i’d have to wait 22 hours )

That did work i just forgot to check if there was more then one item in the data, fixing the RG sorted that out
