Deploy To Test Real-time Functionality?

Hello,

I’ve been working on my app for a bit, but I seem unable to actually check the real functionality of the various buttons and links in the “preview” page. This raises two questions: 1) is it okay to “deploy” the site to check real-time functionality? and

  1. if I do so, how do I keep out the crawlers, spiders, bots, etc. or any other prying eyes until I’m ready ultimately to release?

Thanks,

Kenneth

Are you referring to your bid-board project? What functionality is not working in preview?

Hi @anon43973633 :waving_hand:

Why?

This is not the best option, but yes, you can.

Is it a simple site? Or a webapp?
What do you want to hide? Everything!?
You can redirect the user to your 404 page if he is not logged in…

For example, when I load an image to the “projects” page, it does not appear on the projects page for the customer, nor does it seem to appear on the Service Provider page.

I’d prefer to learn how to make the preview page work! But . . . if I must deploy, I’d want to hide everything until I’m satisfied with the functionality. I’m in a steep learning curve here, but very determined and capable!

It is just a website. I will add the mobile app later.

Yes, it’s the bid-board project.

If something isn’t working on your preview page, it has nothing to do with it being your preview page.

You’ve got other problems you need to fix.

Your preview page works just like your deployed page

if you generated this app with AI, I’m wondering if you are familiar with your app’s Workflow setup. If you aren’t, I recommend you take a look to double check things are working the way you expect them to.
