Do not trust undo or merge

A days work lost…hopefully with this post I can prevent others from experiencing the same.

Some context:
running on a paid plan with multiple branches
trying to get an issue fixed by means of deleting pages and bring them back with undo
merge after we found the issue

Experience:

• undo will probably only undo workflow steps that are 100% native bubble. Lots of workflows were broken in which there was a reference to a plugin. (Try it yourself and please add to the discussion your experience)
• it seems that undo also has a hard time with undo custom workflows. Most steps in some custom workflows were lost. Perhaps only the custom workflows were affected in case the input, output or one of the processing steps was influenced by a plugin in some way. As we are busy fixing the damage I do not have time to see if this is the case or if it is perhaps random (try it yourself and add to the discussion as it can help all of us)
• using the merge function also did not result in any luck for us. Two very different branches merged, no issues, do you want to merge? Yes please! and surprisingly indeed the broken workflows were not fixed as we hoped since the branch we merged was before the undo trouble. (Anybody with likewise experiences? Seems very odd to me and not what we expected)
