As an amateur radio operator there are ton’s of things one can build and experiment with that all evolve around radio.
But today, digital is also making its way into ‘ham radio’ . We have things like ‘openspot 3’ and ‘hotspot’s’ that act as repeaters in ones home yet allow you to talk with people all over the world! using a D-Star or DMR radio. Really cool stuff!
APRS.FI maintains a website where callsigns can be logged over APRS. But the site is dated and old fashion. It needs a major overhaul.
