Ive made a selling app, which works basicly like a market place: open a cart, put products, make checkout.

But, if for any reason, the user doesnt make the checkout, go to another tab, then come back later, the products of the cart just simply desapear after a while…

Im using CUSTOM STATE with a LIST OF PRODUCTS to fill the cart.

The first thing that came to my mind was the memory economy of browser, but even disabled this occurs…

Does anybody faced something similar?

Are you using Custom states? Custom states do not persist through user sessions - if the page is refreshed or reloaded in any way the custom state will return to its default value (in your case empty)

You’ll need to use the database (or local storage but thats more advanced) to save the Cart Items even if the user is not logged in.

Hey nico
Yes, im using custom states…

Im pretty sure the page it not being refreshed ou reloaded by users, these screenshots was a test that Ive made just now.
I just put product on cart, went to another tab, when come back, the product its missing…

It seems the Custom states are very limited time frame memory.
It was about 2 or 3 minutes.

I never realized that, so and Im looking for a certain on that, or if its a bug on something Ive made…

How do you load other tabs?..

Hmm… I’m not sure what you mean by how I load other tabs…
But if you’re referring to how I open other sites, it can vary, sometimes comes from browser bookmark; control+T and typing search bar; mouse middle-button to open new tab…
I don’t know if I was able to answer you.

Custom states should only clear on a page refresh or using WF actions.

What browser are you using?
How long between tabs before this happens?
Do you have any workflows that will clear those states?

Hi there.
I’m using chrome, but my client uses edge; ~2 minutes and the state is cleared; I have an wf that reset this state, but should be activate only after checkout.

But if you’re sure about no time frame to auto reset, is definitely a bad implementation on wf’s.

I’ll remake it.
Thanks for answer.

I use Edge too and haven’t experienced any issue with Bubble states clearing when tabbing away. All the best in troubleshooting.
