Don't understand element aligment

Hi Forum,

Really hope someone can help get understand how the elements in Bubble are aligned.

It’s really frustrating when you had something that was build nice and organized, and when you add a new element, suddenly everything turns into a mess.

Below are two screen shots, one is the Design view. All my elements are grouped. The other is the Preview, and everything is out of alignment.

Can someone explain how to alignment work so I don’t run into this again?

Please make parent group fixed width

So is the rule of thumb to have a parent group with for all pages?

Yes. As per my experience with bubble
