E-mailing Users within a group?!

Hi,

So I’m relatively new to bubble, but I really like it! But my brain is now melting because I’m getting so confused with something.

So to give you a brief run down of what I’m trying to achieve I’ll try to explain how I’m currently set up…

Users are part of a Group
Groups are part of Categories
Posts are part of categories.

What I’m wanting to do, is e-mail all the users with the group that is associated with the category when the post is first created. So essentially the workflow will check which category has been selected when making the post, then check what groups and associated with it, then pull all the e-mail addresses of the users associated to that group.

Does anyone have any idea how you’d go about doing this? I’m getting a headache thinking about how to build the query. I hope this in someway makes sense to someone…

Any help is greatly appreciated! Thank you!

Hello @jack11 welcome to the community!

Not meaning to add to your headache here …

Once you retrieve the list of users to send the email to … build a recursive backend flow to email them one by one.

Consider joining an online bootcamp or an online course to be able to join other folks that experience heachaches as well. I did this and it helped!
