How hard is it for someone to edit an app built by someone else? I know it will depend on the complexity of the app, but I just want to get an idea. Would it be as hard as editing someone else’s custom code? Or maybe a wordpress site? or maybe somewhere in between the two?
I am just starting to learn how to use bubble, but I need to make progress fast so I am considering hiring someone to help, but I want to make sure I will be able to make changes myself later on.

It’s actually not too difficult…
Of course it’s harder than editing an app you’ve built yourself, as it take times to work out the what/how/where/why etc. of the app’s UX, data, and functionality, but it’s definitely not like trying to work on someone else’s code - In Bubble you can see where things are and what they do at a glance on the screen.
The best way to see for yourself is to get a template (a free one will do), and see how easy it is to edit once you’ve got your head round the ways it’s built.
It should be no different working on your own app that someone else has built for you (although it does depend how well they build it as to how easy it will be to work on). Plus if you know who built it you can always contact them to explain any things that you can’t work out for yourself.

Once you learn Bubble to a point where you can make sense of someone else’s work … you are on the other side!
So … if you know Bubble enough … it is just a matter of how much time it will take you to understand how/what someone else built in an app. If someone built it in a way that is modular and abiding to a standard approach of doing things … it will take you less time. If that someone did the opposite … it will take you much much more time to understand what they did … but you will eventually be able to figure it out.
