External Buttons value as text

Hi guys! Its great to be here and to be part of this great community! Started using Bubble about 2 weeks ago and love it so far!

I have a question:

I need to bring a value from an external button (number value) and need for that value to then show on my page as a text (or number), how can I do this? (sorry, new to all of this).

Here`s the buttons code (not sure if its correct!!) - In this case the value that I need to bring to my page and show as a text would be: 7899.00:

<form action="https://finango2.bubbleapps.io/version-test/cuotas?debug_mode=true" method="get"> <button name="Ir a Finango" type="submit" value="$7899.00">Ir a Finango</button>

Looking forward to some help!

Thanks!

Hi Finango,

What external button? Is it from another webpage? What do you want to achieve with showing this value?
So many questions :)…

Hello! thanks for the reply.

Yes! the button would be from another webpage!
At this point all i am trying to do is bring a value from that external webpage and show it in my web app. The code is as follows (not sure if its correct, what I would then want to show in my page as text is the value: 7899.00 in this case:

<form action="https://finango2.bubbleapps.io/version-test/cuotas?debug_mode=true" method="get"> <button name="Ir a Finango" type="submit" value="$7899.00">Ir a Finango</button> </form>

Hi @finango,

You can retrieve this value by referencing the name of the button like this:

In this example, it displays the value in a text element, but you can use this in workflows and other elements as well.

Hi @mebeingken, I did just that but I cant get the value to show, could it be that my button html code is wrong?

@mebeingken I missed a capital letter in the parameter name, works great! Thanks so much!

@mebeingken Sorry to bother you again, is there a way for me to take this text value that I got from the URL and add it to a my database? (make a changes to a list of things…).

Thanks!!

Sure you can. You already know how to grab the value, right? Just do whatever you want to with that value.
