When initialising my API call, I want it to show “items” as a field but instead it shows the “1” and “2” fields (these fields are a user ID) meaning my API call only grabs the 2 user IDs. This means I can only get just those two specific user IDs that are from the initialised call.

You cannot use this kind of API directly with API Connector.
The reason is this API return items as a dictionary.
However, me and @thimo have released a new plugin for this kind of API.
