I have a top filter menu, a sub filter menu and content. When changing the sub filter menu the content updates, which is good. How do I make the sub filter change when clicking the top filter menu? I have tried to do the same I have don on the sub filter menu for the top filter menu, but doesn’t work.

Example top filter meny have text buttons A, B, C and content from these categories are shown on the page. When user clicks A a submeny of categories 1,2,3 are shown and user can choose for example sub categories A2. The content is updated based on the chosen A2 filter.
