Hello, friends!
If youāre looking for a Bubble developer, you have a bunch of options, and none of them are a sure thing. Iāve been working on a solution for this!
This week, Iām launching a new event called āFind-a-Dev Dayā - itās a speed-dating event for founders and developers to connect.
Hereās the TL;DR:
Founders browse a gallery of pre-vetted, experienced developers (3.5 yrs on avg.)
They book short intro calls with the devs that look like a good fit.
The calls happen on May 14 over the course of 3 hours.
After the event, founders get the contact info of everyone they met with.
Everything happens online.
Registration & Details
- Registration for founders is still open! (The deadline has passed for Devs, Iām afraid!)
- Cost is $150 for founders
- Sign up at https://findadevday.com
This event is sponsored by:
Hereās a little preview of the experience, for the curiousā¦
You start from the Developer Gallery
Itās ultra-filterable for things like āwilling to work on existing appsā and ācan work in the US/EU/UKā and certification status⦠sort by years building, hourly rate, number of builds touchedā¦
Click on a dev to view their profile. This is where youāll find all the info youāve ever wanted to know about a Developer before you meet them.
Developer Profiles
In addition to all the basics (how long theyāve been building, how many apps theyāve worked on, their all-important hourly rate ), each developer is required to upload a 3-5 minute technical walkthrough of a feature theyāve built. Youāll get a quick peek into how they build - data structure, privacy rules, logic, reusables - so you can get a sense of competency & building style before connecting with them.
Weāll even provide you with some help if youāre new to Bubble and donāt quite know how to vet a developer.
All devs have at least 6 months of professional building experience. Weāve reviewed their profiles to ensure quality, and their Bubble Birthday is verified by the Bubble team.
Profiles also show the devsā āspecialtiesā and other skills they have significant experience with.
References from Past Clients
Weāve created a way for developersā past clients to leave an assessment of their work. Each reference is verified by our team to ensure legitimacy.
Book Your Calls
When you find a dev who might be a good fit for your project, itās time to book a mini-intro call with them. These calls happen on the day of the event (Wednesday, May 14th, 10a-1p EST), and are 7 minutes each - just long enough to get a sense of potential fit without wasting your time if itās a ānopeā.
The calls happen one after another, wham bam, with a little āmingle breakā in between each.
The Day of The Event
On the day of the event, youāll receive a link to join the virtual āspace,ā which will be hosted on Gather - if you havenāt used Gather, get ready. Itās delightful.
Weāll provide a suggested agenda, and youāll have access to each developerās profile basics and your notes during your call. You can even jot down your thoughts as you chat, right in the Find-a-Dev Day event platform (built on Bubble, of course!).
Post-Event Follow-Up
After the event, youāll receive contact info for each developer you met with, and you can follow up on your own to continue the conversation.

About the Organizer
Kelly Claus (@heythere) is a Bubble Developer & Designer who has been building on the platform since early 2021. She is an official coach and instructor for Bubble, and has helped over 150 founders bring their ideas to life. She is in high demand as a freelance builder, and served as Lead Engineer for Swapstack, a venture-backed startup, before it was acquired by beehiiv in 2023.
In addition to her client work, Kelly is a core member of the Bubble community, having hosted over 100 developer meetups, and co-organizing a popular twice-a-year learning conference called DevDay.
Kellyās long frustration with how people get hired in this nascent industry led her to dream up an event that would make the process more transparent and less annoying for everyone involved. She has worked closely with the Bubble team and several committed community members to make Find-a-Dev Day the easiest, fastest way for skilled developers and clients to find one another.
As an event coordinator, Kelly has over two decades of professional experience, producing numerous events, conferences, and theatrical productions, including 20+ Off-Broadway musicals in New York City.
