I’ve got an app with a sidebar pane and a main content pane. The sidebar pain is currently a floating group that’s floating vertically relative to both the top and the bottom. I have a group within that sidebar that I’d love to have fixed on the page, with the elements below it scrolling. Is something like that possible?

As far as I know you can not nest floating groups.

But:
(1) You can use a scrolling repeating group within the floating group (if that fits your use case and desired behavior).
(2) You can have two floating groups that are not nested but still overlap each other. In some cases (if you can get the references top/bottom/both and left/right to be the same) you can achieve the behviour you are looking for that way. Worked for me.
