Does it create a discrete app in your “app list?” I don’t want it to make any changes to my existing app, but I’m cool with trying it out to see if I can copy and paste elements/etc.
I used it last week and it did indeed create a separate app in my list of apps, as opposed to adding or modifying an existing app.

As far as I can tell the AI builder is not available in the app editor, just from the Account Home page.
So any existing app should be unaffected when creating a new app with the AI app builder. I don’t think Bubble has something in testing that is meant for editing existing apps.
If you are talking about the other AI app builder where you import the app file into an existing app, I would suggest following the instructions and create a new app and start with the free trial.
