🗓 [FREE Plugin] Air Date/Time Picker

Hi, there is a bug when the datepicker in the popup is opened a second time or more; it breaks.

Using the ‘set date’ action also works very strangely firs time

Is it not possible to disable the picker through the “Disable Picker” option available in the plugin?

I tried the direct way, checking the box in the plugin’s appearance tab, and also in the conditional tab. Apparently in both cases the user can still select a date, because the attribute that is being defined when the “Disable Picker” option is checked is the “readonly” attribute when it should be the “disabled” attribute.

What differentiates both is that the “readonly” attribute still allows the input to be focused and interacted with, while the “disabled” attribute does not allow any interaction.

Would it be possible to fix this functionality?

Hello @serhiiburbelo,

Thank you for your message, and we appreciate your use of the Air Date/Time Picker Plugin.

To ensure everything works smoothly, please confirm that you have integrated the latest version of the plugin and its new element into your app. We attempted to replicate your use case on our end, and all functionalities are functioning correctly.

For reference, you can check our test page here: Seanhootsdemopro | Bubble Editor

Regarding the issue with the ‘Set Date’ action behaving strangely on the first attempt, this is a specific behavior of Bubble. When you initially open the pop-up, the element is not visually rendered on the page yet, so you may not see the date. To overcome this, you can use additional conditionals to set the date only when the element is visible or modify the action steps, as demonstrated in the example above.

We hope this explanation proves helpful to you. If you have any other questions related to the plugin or anything else, please don’t hesitate to reach out.

Best regards,

Hi, I have an issue with the blocked dates on the date picker. I have a booking website, where users can book overnight stays, so they select a check-in and check-out date from the date picker. Once someone has booked a stay, these dates are then blocked out in the calendar and in the date picker.

Users can’t check-in on a day which has already been blocked out, but they could check-out on a day which has been blocked out. Ie there is a changeover in the middle of the day, so you can check out on the same day that somebody else checks in.

The blocked out dates in the date picker are working correctly to not allow people to select a check in date that is already booked. However, they are unable to select a check out date if someone has already booked to arrive that day.

I’d like to be able to update the blocked dates once the start date of the range has been selected, to remove the blocked dates of check in days. Is this possible? At the moment, I can only update information in the date picker once the whole range has been selected, not just the start date. Please could you help!

Use two DatePickers. One for check-in and other for check-out, this will solve this issue.

Thanks, that could work. However, I’d really like to be able to use the range function from one date picker as the UI is much better for my website. @ZeroqodeSupport do you know if it’s possible to do this?

Hello, @grace2.
Thanks for your question and for using our plugin. :slightly_smiling_face:

I’m afraid, you can not achieve the check-in/check-out on the same day functionality with our plugin. If you want to allow your users to pick the date range and set it as a blocked date, it is impossible to create/select a new date range whose start/stop day intersects with the one which is already blocked.

It is possible to achieve an Air-BNB-like booking functionality if only your check-in dates are not matching the check-out date. For example:

Hi, thanks for your reply. So to clarify, it is not possible to block out overnight bookings like Airbnb? Ie someone checks out in the morning and someone else checks in the same afternoon?

@grace2,

Correct. It is impossible to pick a new range, which start/end point intersects with another range.

Please let us know if you have any other questions.

Sorry for the delayed feedback, but was this supposed to be fixed in version “3.65.0 - internal updates”?

Because if it was, the problem still persists. Both when disabling the Date/Time Picker directly and when using conditionals.

I’m leaving this example of both cases, for all types of Date/Time Picker.

@Newed,

Apologies, but we have not yet deployed the fix for this exact issue. It will be available in a few days for sure.

Thank you for your patience :slightly_smiling_face:

Hi, thanks for this. Well, I updated to version 3.67.00. Apparently it worked for most cases.

But here are some notes about some issues that still persist.

The first one is for the “Multiple Dates” type. Even though it is disabled by default, it will still allow selection.

The second issue is for the “Single Date” type. If it is conditionally disabled, when it is enabled again it will no longer allow to be changed.

And the third issue is for the “Only Time Picker” type. Similar to the problem above, if it is conditionally disabled and enabled again, it will not allow to be changed.

What I need at the moment is to allow the user to select several dates in some cases and in other cases just one date (I could use the native time picker in this second case, but to keep the same style I want to use the plugin). later, the user can change these dates if he wants to, but for that he will need to enter an edit mode, hence the need to conditionally enable/disable the input.

Thank you so far!

Hi @Newed,
Sorry for the delayed reply over the weekend.

Can you please share additional screenshots of your configuration for the first, second, and third issues?
Also, if possible, please attach a screen recording with your plugin element configuration and the conditional used. It would allow us to replicate it on our side and check with the team.

Thank you and we are looking forward to your reply.
